This is no reason for regret. Strategy is all about maximizing your strengths and minimizing your weaknesses. Seeking after and acchieving the "high ground" in a battle is something to be proud of.
Geoschmo I agree. That's part of strategy. Anytime you go through a warp hole, you're taking a chance that you can take the first shot of what's on the other side. I'm sure every good player takes advantage of it and every good player realizes the dangers.
