Father Illearth and King of Banefires but no Queen of the Celestial Winds or other?
So, we have the elemental nobility, of which 2 are corrupted, one fire king corrupted by death and one earth king corrupted by blood, but why are the queens so pure?
Could we not have a Queen of the Celestial Winds, a Queen of the Elemental Air trapped in the celestial sphere, becoming a combination of Astral and Wind magic?

Or perhaps a Queen of the Living Water, a queen of life in water, trapped by the Pan to provide nourishment for their trees, and now 'corrupted' and fusing Nature and water magic together. I think those would both be valid combinations.

Limne could easily be repurposed to using Nature Magic, while Nephele could become the queen of celestial winds, lured to the realms by the music, and being trapped there.

These would be pretty cool. I'd run it by the CMB developers, as they are still actively modifying the game. |

Those are the ones I would do if there were to be an Elemental Royal corrupted by some path of sorcery in each element. They are the most natural fit.
One can also argue that air and water are less prone to be corrupted than Earth (stationary, unmoving etc) or fire (corrupted through the fuel it burns, the fuel having more in common with earth). Air and water are both fluid, capricious and wild, bot as easily tamed as fire and earth.

However, this is CBM stuff, since I doubt that it would get added to Dominions even if the game were being as actively patched as in the past. The Father Illearth and King of Banefires backstories make for great drama, which isn't as readily available from the Celestial/Life angle, those being more "good" (as much as that word applies here).

I always thought a cool idea for a spell would be "Redeem Catharsis." It'd be an astral and fire summoning spell, and would make Anthrax unsummonable while giving you a King of Elemental Fire with bonuses against undead and demons (I mean, with a name like Catharsis, what else would you call him?).As for Pedoseion, I always found him disappointing. He's basically just a King of Elemental Earth but with blood magic. No cool attacks or abilities.

Too busy right now with another mod project, but if anyone wants to run with it, go for it. |

Father Illearth is probably the best Elemental royalty because he is so cheap. He also have better regeneration than the other EE roys. Mostly he gets relegated to spamming Demon knights forever though. |

My irk with Illearth is thematic rather than strategic, although strategically he's rather dull too. |
