Default Opportunity Fire Questions!

Filtered opportunity fire has been added since I last played and I need some help in this area!
1. The rules imply that you can have the normal Y fire range and filtered, but it will default to Y if they overlap. If I set filtered way away from the unit and then set up a close in Y, when I click on the unit all the filtered values are gone. That an I doing wrong? Also, the example in the rules showing setting up the filtered radius range is confusing to me. That -1 has me stymied.
2. When setting up the values in filtered to take on only heavier armor units would appropriate values be something like max 40, min 5?
Thanks for your help.

Default Re: Opportunity Fire Questions!

1) the filtering is completely separate from the old game "Y" key system. if you set filters, then use the "Y" key then you have effectively cleared the filter.

2) It really depends on what sort of tiddly stuff you need to avoid. For WW2, a min value of 5 would tend to filter out most small armour. The max value can be 255 (on the odd chance you may meet a Maus or whatever !)

cheers
Andy
