Default Reading .dat format?

Hello,

I was wondering if there is a way to read the .dat files of maps and scenarios. If possible, I'd like to have a crack at making scenario maps via Python.

Thank You for working on this marvellous game.

If you are referring to a decompiler of some type then no. If you want to build a map or scenario use the tools provided. They do everything you need

I think he wants the file formats - which we cannot provide as part of the original NDA with SSI.

Perhaps you should ask whoever did the height map utility as he may have determined some of that?

cheers
Andy
