Default Trees in the desert

Hopefully a simple request - for random maps in desert, can trees be mostly in the low areas instead of on hills? I know thats how Australian deserts work and I'm guessing the same in others.

Makes sense, water flows downhill.

Either that or there should be no trees at all in the middle of the desert.

What map location are you talking about ? Played a few African battles recemtly & seem to remember trees were at level zero if they were present. Golan Heights on standard setting produced bigger clumps of trees spread about evenly on hills & level zero.
Find a Bat Loc you like & fiddle. some maps summer, savanha settings dont seem to make much diffrence others they do, Golan for instance gets very muddy in some seasons.

I've made the observation in Australian setting battles. Haven't played/edited a lot of random desert otherwise. When I was editing I found a few trees on hills and none in the valleys. Savannah should be the same as desert in this way AFAIK.
