Default What causes AI\'s in SP to declare war?

I'm trying to win in SP with every race on the orania nasty map. I'm currently playing Jutenheim and I'm having trouble.

For the second game in a row on this map I'm having numerous races declare war on me early in the game.

On turn 5 man declard war (who cares, he's not near me) A couple of turns later Atlantis declared war. So I'm fighting Atlantis when on somewhere around turn 10 Caelum declares war on me.

I'm fighting Atlantis and Caelum and barely holding when last turn (turn 20) Marignon and Vanheim both declare war and attack. Game over.

This has happened twice now. Does the computer choose based on the quantity of units in play? If not then how?

Having weak province defence seems to have an effect. Try keeping it at 10 or above.

I've seen games where the computer opponent attacked with 150 troops and 9 commanders... won the province. And then the province displayed his army as 220 troops.

And? That's well within the 50% to 200% range of possible troops counts that you would see for the province.

I wasn't aware the range went as high as 200%.

One recent bizarre issue was the AI was playing Jotun giants... and had a vampire queen which flew over existing provinces I owned and attacked my castle. The battle had just her... she won my capitals province defense yet next turn she had 25 light infantry with her on top of the castle. How'd those light infantry teleport onto my castle on turn_15?
When I reclaimed my capital province she was the only commander.
