No music on cd
Hey, my copy of the game doesn't play any music. Matter of fact there are no music tracks on this cd. I already applied patch 1.11. Any ideas? Did I get an unfinnished copy?

Re: No music on cd
The CD tracks are burnt into the CD itself instead of included as files.
Make sure your CD audio settings are correct.

Re: No music on cd
I know this sounds dumb but where should I look. Music plays fine from other audio cds. The properties section looks to be set correctly. For reference I am running Win98 with a creative soundblaser live.

Re: No music on cd
Hmm other audio CD's play okay?
To make sure you have a good CD you can try to use the widnows CD player to play them manually.
BTW what do you use to play CD's on your PC?

Re: No music on cd
Looking at the game CD in Windows Explorer (or whatever) won't show you the audio tracks, but they are there. If you bring up your usual CD player program, it should be able to play them OK, but also, just pressing the "play" button on your CD-ROM drive should play them, too (at least it does for me).
If you were to put the game disc in a regular CD player, it should be able to play the music, also (just skip past the first track, which will contain the game data).
A lot of people (including myself) had problems with no music at first, but the 1.11 patch fixed this for most people. This sounds stupid, but just to make sure, do you have the "play CD music" option checked in the game options menu? Other than that, I have no ideas...

Re: No music on cd
No music for me either, and other games work just fine. Yes, I've applied the 1.11 patch, and yes I have CD music enabled. My CD player isn't anything exotic at all, and as I said I've never had this problem with any other game (and I've installed a lot).
