An Idea, Please Read and comment

In an effort to acknowledge the great work people have done with SEIV mods, AI, races, and ship sets, I propose, and I hope I am not over stepping any bounds by doing so, an awards thread.

It is simple, a thread is started with a list of catagories ranging from most valued poster here at the forum to master AI maker.

Then in this thread everyone would vote. To bad this board does not support poles. (Perhaps it could be held at a site that does, but its better to keep it here)

You would vote first for nominies in each catagory, then the list of nominies would be put up for a general vote. The winners of each catagory would thus be honored in knowing that their work is appreciated. In each catagory, we would have 4 winning slots, say Grand Master, Expert, Champion, Honorable Mention.

The list I have so far for topics to be voted on are:

Best Race AI designer -and or- Creator
Best Race AI
Best Race Speech File Designer

Race Creator
Best Race
Best Race Series

Best Ship Set Creator
Best Ship Set
Best Ship Set Series

Most knowledge able
Best PBW Player
Most Valued Poster

This is just a quick list, by no means is it set in stone. Please post your ideas on whether or not this is a good idea, and if you think it is, please feel free to offer help.

man, and i thought rank stoaked people egos enough as it was. i vote for myself as the best race creator, i think you would be hard pressed to come up with a more powerfull race than the Arbiter in the Smash TV game. oh wait, i cheated. nevermind, i dont vote for me then.

I vote for Richard as the most valued poster. the little tidbits on patches and shrapnel news keep me coming back. (watch, now he will stop posting to get me to go). Either him, or Mr Clay. where would we be without "philosophy."

I think that is a great idea. The depth of this game has been doubled after all by the fans themselves and such an open, cooperative relationship between developer and fan base should be encouraged. This might be just the thing.
