Default Several questions

Hi all.

I just read in a thread that the manual is incorrect concerning dominion spread. The book says that for every five temples, your dominion has an incrementally greater chance of spreading for each temple check. If that's wrong, then when does the efficiency go up?

In the same thread I read that you can kill your own population for death gems. I don't recall reading about that in the book. What are the details?

Do archers favor shooting at larger units? Or larger concentrations of troops? Suppose on one flank I have a unit of 100 soldiers. On the other flank I have five units stacked on top of each other, each with forty troops. All else being equal, will enemy archers likely shoot at the one biggest unit, or the greatest concentration of soldiers?

What's the deal with teleportation? I was under the impression that immobile pretenders could move via spells. I have one with strong astral in a game and he's been disallowed to use 2-3 different teleportation type spells. I thought maybe the game had been patched to keep immobiles from moving, but I recently read in a thread that someone elses immobile pretender was able to move via a spell. (I don't recall the thread or whether or not he named the specific spell he used.) What teleport spell(s) can move fountains/monoliths?

Thanks for your help!

Not sure what thread you are referring too. But there is a trick where you can kill your population via something like patrolling and high taxes and then use Raven Feast to turn the bodies into death gems. Not sure if its efficient tho.

The archery algorithm is not as specific as you have laid it out but it is also not well known. My experience is that archers without any specific orders will shoot at the closest enemy squad that will have the biggest "payoff" in terms of damage applied.

As for teleportation, you are probably having issues with the Sphinx or a pretender like that. There is a class of immobile pretenders which are truly immobile and cannot be moved by any means. Likely you are using one of those. I dont know if there is any visual indication of which pretenders these are when you look at thier stats.

Two rules:

1. Any immobile can only move by the spell Teleport, no other magic movement spell, such as Astral Travel.

2. The sphinx is the sole unit in the game unable to move by any means, even by the spell teleport.

Ahh. Thank you. The specific pretender I have in that game is a Sphinx.

Edratman claimed he moved a treelord via cloud trapeze so I guess this rule only applies to immobile pretenders?
Edit: I just tried to move a treelord via fairy trod and cloud trapeze and neither worked. No called Edratman on it when he posted it so I believed it.
