Note that Millenia V is the homeworld, and strictly independent. Its benefits will be spread equally to all players.
This game will operate on the original PBC model.
Discussions and orders will be posted on a forum, and the new turns will be posted each weekend.
We will start gathering players for System Lord positions first. Select a System/Region to start in.
The exact size of the region will be determined once all the starting players have selected start positions. Those planets with high value, more facilities, more available slots and existing defenses will naturally be worth more, and territorial ranges including these planets will be smaller overall. Conversely, those regions which include plagued planets and alien threats will be valued lower, and the system lord who starts there will get a larger territory.
For example, out east, there are Phong ships and a plague to deal with, so a system lord starting in that area would be given extra land.
Budgetary concerns will be dealt with via the Krsqk-bot written for the original PBC; Each system lord will recieve credit for the resources produced on their planets, and for the storage capacity of their own storage facilities.
As far as the starting bankroll is concerned, the resources are spread evenly over the storage facilities.
Budgets will be subtracted from when build orders are set, and added to at the beginning of each turn. Trades between system lords are encouraged, prices are free market.
Budget tallies will be posted in a private subforum for the System Lord owning it.
Research will be done in a free market system as well; building research facilities will increase your research budget with which to pick projects to add. Although everybody recieves the benefits of the research, whoever has the research facilities gets to decide the direction research takes, whether military for border systems, or economic for core systems.
Build facilities to boost your economy, bases to defend against threats and ships to expand into new territory.
Negotiate deals with other players for mutual defense or lower trade prices.
