Default Magic Scale is too weak. Why?

I would like that the magic scale at least change magic resistance by 0.7 if not 1 per scale.

I use +3 magic scale for my strategy and -3 magic resistance would be extremely beneficial to me. -1 magic resistance just doesn't seem to cut it.

soooooooooooooo what are everyone elses thoughts?

They are fine as they are. If you don't like them, mod them. Saber Cherry can probably show you how, if you ask nicely.

Actually you can't mod the Magic scale as of right now. Hopefully in the next patch it will allow us to mod those as well.

the main point, for me, about magic scale is not the modification to MR. The most important feature is how it modifies the points you get from your researchers. Going from magic 0 to magic 3 will double (3 to 6) the RP generated from a Pythium theurg, or Mictlan priest. And they cost less than 3 gp upkeep of gold. You see the trick? Reaching overland spells like a flames from the sky (waste an enemy army) when the others are still struggling with level 6 in research is something of interest.

Another point is that you spend less fatigue. -30% in magic 3, in combat (for spells). Something of importance too, and can lead to a whole range of strategies.

its like saying that growth is too weak, because it gives 0.2% growth only. Growth give more supplies, and a bit more gold too. Thats the 3 aspects which must be taken into account when saying that the scale is ok or too weak.

I use the magic scales solely for reaserch, the -3 magic resistance would still be beneficial against my enemies.
