Default Problem w/ savegames

Well, I think something's wrong with my Computer. When I save a game and load it some times later some things are screwed up!
Sometimes the System Names change, but not all systems. In my current game 5 of 16 System Names changed.
This alone wouldn't be too bad, but the really annoying thing is that some designs change too. I haven't installed any new mod or something like that.
My colonizers had an robo-Miner II (I hadn't even discovered this tech yet) instead of a colony module. Not only the designs in the Design window changed, the already built ships changed too. A colonizer was sent to a planet and I saved. When I reloaded some time later this colonizer reached the planet and couldn't colonize it b/c it had no colony module...

Anyone experienced something similar? Or is it just my stupid PC?

Thx in advance, Happy_Dau

wow, i don't think something like that was ever reported here. I don't think it's your computer, can't imagine how it would effect a savegame. What Version are you using. Have you installed the patches? They usually solve lot's of problems

and about this

Sounds like you installed a mod, or had your components.txt file rearranged.

The colony ship had a "component number 32", but the 32nd component in your new components.txt is a robominer.

As for system names changing, that's just wierd. Perhaps your savegame got corrupted. Were you saving & reloading more than once per turn?

I think there was somebody around here who said his savegames were getting corrupted if he didn't "end turn" at least once after reloading.

I had all my colony components magically transform into massive shield depleters recently. I assumed it was because I had just upgraded from Devnullmod 1.30 -> 1.31

I just abandoned th gam and started a new one (it was only vs AI )

"Uh, I think so, Brain, but balancing a family and a career ... oooh, it's all too much for me. "

Yah, that's usually a 'got new data file while in the middle of a game' problem. Same thing happens with the CompEnhancements file (and who knows what else!). I've found changing anything other than pics or AI has always been disruptive to current games.
