Defending with Stealth Units
Lets say i have a province with PD and a few units hidden in it (for whatever reason) using the scout-like ability to stealth.
Now lets say the enemy invades that province. will my stealthed units keep hiding and start the next turn in an enemy province (assuming our PD lost the battle) or will they help defend the province alongside our PD? if they defend, do they go back to hiding after they fought?
Thanks.

Re: Defending with Stealth Units
They will stay hidden, unless they have other orders than hide - in that case they will fight [and return to normal action if win, or hide in neighbouring prov if they retreat].

Re: Defending with Stealth Units
Zeldor is correct, but to clarify - normal retreat rules apply. If you do not have any provinces adjacent to it, the retreating units die. They will not "stealth-retreat". That's how I remember it.

Re: Defending with Stealth Units
The PD will hang back and force the stealth units fight on their own. Then they'll take bets on who dies first.

Re: Defending with Stealth Units
It's too bad we don't have some kind of "guerilla" unit designation that will cause a unit to stay hidden, but fight defensively.

Re: Defending with Stealth Units
What would that mean? Just hidden from scouts and the like?
Glamour works that way.

Re: Defending with Stealth Units
Indeed, glamour does fulfill that role. Unfortunately its impossible to separate the map effect from the battle effect.
Edit: Unless -1 air magic would somehow produce zero images.
Edit: Nope, still has an image, cause air -1 magic is the same as air 1?

Re: Defending with Stealth Units
It doesn't have to do with the air magic skill. Even non-commander units have the mirror image effect in battle.

Re: Defending with Stealth Units
That's technically incorrect. Units with glamour and air magic get additional images equal to their skill. The total number of images would be air magic plus one.
