OT: Who will win the NBA title?
Ok, the National Basketball Association Finals are almost upon us. So what are your predictions?
With the East Finals over by result of the New Jersey Nets sweeping out the Detroit Pistons; and the West Finals basically good as done (no team as ever come back from a 3 to 1 deficet to win a best of 7 series) the San Antonio Spurs up on the Dallas Mavericks 3 games to 1.
So I will post the question of: Who will win the NBA Title? The New Jersey Nets? Or the San Antonio Spurs?
Edit: Post why you voted as you did and voice your thoughts on the finals. (Which don't start until next week.)

To be honest, I don't think the Australian media even know the NBA finials are on, since the Bulls aren't in it.

Re: OT: Who will win the NBA title?
I like San Antonio more than New Jersey, but I think New Jersey will take the Title. The Nets have more offensive capabilities than San Antonio does.
Manu Ginobili will need to become the second comming of Peja Stojakovic to provide the offensive boost San Antonio will need, and that likely won't happen for another year or two.
New Jersey though is running all over the place, and it seems like their whole bench is producing points.
I'd love to see David Robinson retire with another Championship, but I don't see it happening against the Nets.
And god help the rest of the Eastern Conference if the Nets can keep Kidd (which they damn well better), 'cause there's no one else in the East that can rival the Nets and their current roster.

Why the Bulls? Luc Longley hasen't been on that team for awhile. There aren't any other Aussies on the Bulls, are there?

The Chicago Bulls were a good selling point. You could see their Red Jackets everywhere, not to mention pictures of Michael.
I don't think many Ozzies even knew Luc Longley was Australian.
They still think Andrew Gaze is the best Basketballer ever, even though he failed to get picked up by any US team, he tried out for a couple of teams however and never made the cut.

I think San Antonio will be able to pull it off, just on the strength of Tim Duncan. I think it will be close, either way.
