Turn a Jotun Jarl into your prophet. It transforms him into a different, rather better unit with a crown and golden armour.

This is clearly an untruth.
Make a hoburg gardener your Prophet, it turns him into a giant 3-headed immortal golden dragon that breathes lightning-bolts and has Fire 9, Astral 9, and Death 9.

Re: This is clearly an untruth.
No it's correct. There are a few commanders that transform when prophetised. The Jotun Jarl is one of them.

This is me perpetuating a clear untruth.
The hoburg gardener is another really good one. You should try it sometime, that three-headed golden dragon is the best SC in the game, in my opinion, especially since he produces one lightning-breathing golden drake every year.

Back to reality.
I know there are some units that when prophetized turn into better units, but is there a way to mod this? Could I, for instance, make a mod where prophetizing a Niefel Jarl-different from a Jotun Jarl-changes him into a unit that's a Niefel Jarl mounted on an ice drake (a really big one)?

Re: Back to reality.
In Dom2, there were some Abysian units that changed identity when prophetized; the Anathemant Dragon just got a cooler sprite IIRC, but the Warlord definitely changed to a version with better weapons.

Re: Back to reality.
One of the Ctissian clerics changes as a prophet... I can't remember if it's the lizard king or the high priest. The new version has a purple robe, but I don't know if it has any real advantages.

The C'tissian improves a little in abilities, but not by a whole lot.

Re: What are the best units to turn into Prophets?
The C'tis Lizard King (at least in MA) gets blue trim on his robes and a fancy new hat when prophetized. Neat touch! Too bad I'll never be able to try them all. By the way, how do you get Hoburg Gardeners? The Hoburg poptype I've found only lets you have commanders, militia, guards, and crossbows.
