Re: Tool\'s Fool\'s (Mosehansen game)
I don't see that as too big a deal. First turn i'll just send a global message to all the players with the web address if they are interested in it.
as far as people placeholding nations. Well I suppose if your concerened about stepping on someones toes I would just avoid those nations. Otherwise the game *is* going to be kicked off tonight and if those nations are still not chosen I don't see why you shouldn't take them. Besides as was pointed out earlier there are no doubt people that don't frequent these forums that might wish to play and they certainly wouldn't know anything about who wants what nation. I might be wrong but it just seems like it falls in the realm of first come first serve anyways.
i guess some of that was redundant, forgive me

I'm playing pangaea. Saw the game a day before I saw the thread, heh.

Re: Tool\'s Fool\'s (Mosehansen game)
ok I started the game...but I think I 'screwed it up'....a little.
there are no computer opponents except for the tien chi...and that is because i was experimenting with how would I make the other nations computer controlled. in the future if I start another game I'll know to just select the remaining ones and set them for computer controlled.
so anyways its up and running and pretty much hooman vs. hooman.
Good Luck y'all

Re: Tool\'s Fool\'s (Mosehansen game)
I'm in, and completed my first turn.
Just to handicap myself a little, I chose one of the worse nations for my first MP game. And since that might not have been enough to make things fair, I picked a pretender who doesn't like Machaka's scales.
Just think of Landlore as, mmm, the farmer's daughter.

Re: Tool\'s Fool\'s (Mosehansen game)
I'm also in the game, having just finsihed my first turn.
Question, ....
Do the Victory point provinces mean we're playing a VP scored game? I don't mind if we are, but I didn't see any mention of it in the game description.
If it is a VP, what are the victory conditions?
Also, from within the game, how do you find out what the victory conditions are?

Re: Tool\'s Fool\'s (Mosehansen game)
Victory point provinces are mostly meaningless if the game you are playing in does not use them as a victory condition. Otherwise, the number of VPs you hold determines how close you are to winning the game by that means.
If you have no idea how many you need to win, then you probably did not enable them as a victory condition, either.

Re: Tool\'s Fool\'s (Mosehansen game)
I know the game is early, but since many of us are new players, any comments on the game so far?
I noticed many players made a prophet on turn 1, while others waited until turn 2-3.
The fast research is VERY fast! This, coupled with the high level of Indys, will make for a magic flinging game for sure.
I like the high Indys, but I think the the easy magic research is going to have too dramatic of an effect on the game.
Comments?
