Undead affected by disease?
In my current game I have 2 wights that are diseased, and yet the description states undead are unaffected by disease. Is this a bug?

Re: Undead affected by disease?
they can get the flag and icon for "diseased", but it does nothing to them.

Re: Undead affected by disease?
They won't lose any hitpoints, but doesn't it make them more likely to get other afflictions?

Re: Undead affected by disease?
Being diseased does not make any creature more likely to catch a disease (cursed has this effect). Having a disease means you will get more afflictions without doing anything; undead are not affected by this other effect of diseases.

Re: Undead affected by disease?
Seems to me diseases do damage to non-undead, and that damage (1 point per month) is what can cause additional afflictions. Undead with diseases don't take that damage, so they also don't gain any more afflictions from them.
However, a living leader with a disease and a Ring of Regeneration, will lose 1 point per turn but gain it back each turn, but that 1 point it loses may cause a new affliction, which isn't healed by Regeneration.

Ahh, that's interesting to know. I had a special firbolg in Fool's Lament 2 who got diseased from moving through C'tis' lands and gained a lot of afflictions but never died. I think it was because Peter Ebbesen gave him nature magic to start with that caused him to have regeneration.

Re: Undead affected by disease?
Well, the Ring of Regeneration should also make further afflictions much less likely; have you seen this effect on diseased units PvK? (I never toyed with Regeneration and diseased commanders, so)
What I did see is high-HP Pretenders getting afflictions because of a disease much faster than they would if they only suffered 1 damage in battle (that, or there has been some tough luck involved, which cannot be excluded either).

Re: Undead affected by disease?
Well, the first time I saw this clearly demonstrated was in my game as Mictlan, where my Luck scale had won me a Soul Contract, but the carrier of it was unexpectedly ambushed in the field and killed by C'tis, who brought with them a bit of miasma. A Mictlan Priest found the contract, but caught disease, and I proceeded to hide him in my capitol with a ring of regeneration. Fairly often he would get a new affliction, but he had low base hit points, so I interpreted it as a logical consequence of the damage, rather than a direct effect of the disease. If you've seen many afflictions on diseased high-hit-point units, then that would suggest it was more like a flat chance from disease.
Whether it would increase the chance of afflictions from battle damage to have a disease, I don't know, but I don't expect so, just reflecting on what I've seen.
As has been mentioned (but to clarify, since it is the thread topic), diseased undead still don't suffer new afflictions merely from the disease.
(BTW, details of my Mictlan Priest were given on the Affliction Record thread .)
