Pointless unitfx?
Hi there,
a mod i made seems to be causing a nagot gick fel! with "pointless unitfx" as explanation. The log.txt file claims a "Pointless unitfx for monster 3004 ()", but i'm pretty sure there's no monster 3004 in my mod. Any clues? (Attaching the log file, just in case)
Thanks!

Re: Pointless unitfx?
Why don't you upload the mod so we can see the code?

Re: Pointless unitfx?
I am not sure if this is causing the issue, but I noticed that you have duplicated a #newmonster number. 2 of your units share the number 2266. Try fixing that to see if it corrects the issue.

Re: Pointless unitfx?
Thanks for spotting the 2266 unit Foodstamp (however this did not solve the crash).
Apparently the problem was caused by #newmonster 2999, changing it to #newmonster 2996 (or whatever lower number) seem to fix the crash. My bad, i had understood from the modding manual that 2999 was a valid number

Re: Pointless unitfx?
Things are often strange around the edges in Dom3. Especially in modding. Going too close to the limit may cause crashes just the same as if you had exceeded it.

Re: Pointless unitfx?
I noticed the same issue with nametype lists. Though 159 should be the acceptable, it's not. 149 works though.
