Re: EA Newbie game (PBEM) - Sign Up
oh i'd like it if we played cbm simply because nothing about cbm is at all more diffucult than basic... and cbm seems so popular in other multiplayer games that we might as well learn cbm (i've been studying hard to learn cbm for the past 2days!)
but i am totally fine with not using it...
and... we'll just have to make sure to send a buncha diplomatic messages around in an attempt to form an anti aez alliance!
additionally is it considered bad manners to use aim instead of ingame messages? since ingame messages take ages to work out .. once you get friendly terms with someone is it possible to use messaging to communicate? or is that bad manners towards all the people not doing it?

Any game that doesn't specify what diplomatic channels to use is pretty much any thing goes.

Re: EA Newbie game (PBEM) - Sign Up
The most common method for diplomacy is forum. I have used forum, email, aim and in-game diplo.
Usually I make first contact in-game

By forum I mean PM via forum. In-thread diplomacy also happens a bit. Unless there are rules about it, talking is talking
