"Survivor I" PBW Tourney Round 1 is OVER!

Players,

Survivor 1 Round 1 has come to a spectacularly unsatisfying, but
completely legitimate end.

Possum withdrew from game 1, forcing me to make the decision to turn
his empire over to the AI. This put Jimbob at a distinct disadvantage
being in Last place and allied with Possum. He has dcecided to not
delay the inevitable and allow the surviving players to get on with
round 2.

Game 3 has been over for some time really. They were just playing out
the string waiting on game 1 to end. The Admiral had decided as an
experiment to see if he coould eliminate Gimboid and Meschenfresser
on the same turn. His thought I think was to be ammused by putting me
in the uncomfortable position of trying to sort out who was the
survivor if he killed both of them at once.

Sorry to ruin his fun, but what he forgot was that Mesch had
researched almost twice as many techs as Gimboid, so even if all
their planets and ships were wiped out on the same turn, Mesch would
have a clear point advantage. That is what I am going by at any rate,
so Meschenfresser is the survivior, and Gimboid is eliminated.

Please email me if you are a survivor and can't continue for some
reason. I haven't decided yet what to do in a case like that.
Hopefully I won't have too.

Round 2 will start asap. Probably by this coming weekend. I have to
finalize the particulars.
