Random. If there is something particularily wrong with your starting position, let me know. I can't help you now, but I can easily mod a starting position out of the game (if the map offers enough valid ones) for future games, and relevant ones.

If it was your neighbors or the indepndent- sorry. The Norns do hate you, and I am merely the vessel of their displeasure.
