I'm not 100% sure. My natural inclination would be to think of Twiceborn (I think that's what you're after) as giving your mage a second shape, basically, that it turns into once it dies. If that's the case, then it should not count as dying for globabl-clearing purposes. However, this is only speculation since I have never lost a unit that cast a global, much less one who had twiceborn cast. Actually I've never even cast Twiceborn.
