I agree. The map sets the overall visual of the campaign and most players will notice any differences in map designs from scenario to scenario (or designer to designer).

What might be best is to design 200x160 Maps THEN we can crop out the sections needed for scenario's in a ToO. This way they will all have the same look and feel.

The campaign will cover half of vietnam area so maybe different styles for maps may recreate this fact better. I also don't see different style so handicapping for the whole campaign.

Anyway I concorde that in the same area the style must be similar.

What could be handy for the SD (scenario designer), would be to create a couple of basic huge maps for each ToO (a total of 14-16 huge maps for the whole project). Then any SD (scenario designer) may use any of these maps or a fraction of them and he could even (heavy) editing these maps in order to match the special needs of each scenario.

I think that by making something like the above (tool) we could provide support/help for the Scenario Designers that don't wish to spent time in the map creation/designing.

Of course, anyone who likes creating maps is free to make his own maps!

The map creation is a question of time, energy and creativity. If any of the 3 elements is temporary missing from the designer then it could be better to use a pre-made custom map.
