Hrrrrrrm. Spells are executed in random order, aren't they? So if a spell *kills* the Astral Traveler -- say, it's a direct damage spell like Flames from the Sky or a reaaaally lucky Seeking Arrow -- without requiring that he stick around for a battle, it should preempt...

Hmm hmm. I wonder if remote-assassination-summon spells like Manifestation are resolved at the same time as remote-summons that merely drop units for standard army battles.

Are you sure that what you said is correct Taqwus? Because it seems to contradict manual. According to it first the spells are casted in random order (just like you said). It is done in pahse 7, IIRC. *Then* the magical battles are resolved. It is done in the next phase, after casting of spells - phase 8.

And since 2 spells teleport SC/army into different provinces in phase 7, it seems that there could be no battle in phase 8.

I am not 100% sure of it, but that what manual seems to say. It could be wrong though. Have you ever managed to catch teleporting army/SC with combat spell or with teleport of your own?

Things happen in the order they are reported in the turn log. You are right about teleport, call of the winds, astral travel... battle happens if two armies are in the same province after all spells are cast.

But vengeance of the dead, seeking arrow, flames from the sky, possibly earth attack are different. They dont summon units into a province, and you get the result of the spell immidiately in the 'bob has cast a spell' message. So if you are lucky and the spell is cast before the enemy's (enemies' ?) astral travel spell, it should have an effect.

Hmmm. All right, I will check it. I always thought that teleporting enemies are invincible. It would be very good to know if this is not the case.

No you arent invincible if you teleport. Its resolved in random order along with all the other spells.

You mean you are not invinceble to the assasination spells, such as Mind Hunt, Seeking Arrows, etc., right? You are still completely incincible to the attacks with teleporting armies/commanders if they try to catch you, correct?
