HEXs and Unit IDs PBEM Campaign

Good day,

Does both sides in a PBEM Campaign need to have HEXs and UNIT ID turned ON if one plays with them OFF and the other palys with them ON?

I don't think so Bob; they are just personal preferences. Not like fast artillery which probably just has a code limitation making it effect your opponent.

I always play with the hex grid turned OFF, I find I can read the map better, particularly when it comes to elevations. I quickly got used to it and would never go back to playing with the grid ON. I've never had a complaint from an opponent.

Same with ID flags. I use them sometimes, but rarely. No one has ever asked me to change these settings; including you ;-).

I play with them off as well, gives a more real feel for me.

Starting a Campaign and my opponent usually uses them so I want to make sure having them on/off doesn't make a difference.
