How very dissapointed
So the demo is very weak; the AI is bad, and tactical combat benefits players. Also there is very unbalanced units. Combine these facts and you have a game that can be beat in the 19 turns given in the demo. ON THE FOURTH GAME! I don't even believe SEV was released in such a bad state.
I was hoping for a game a few friends and I could play for fun, but We'll have to keep playing Axis and Allies made in 1998 for a fun and challenging game.
Ok, it's not challenging either, but it is fun against other players.

Re: How very dissapointed
If you have the full game,....then I, and at least one other person I know of, are working on a mod that makes the units more realistic, and which would require combined arms to be successful in combat.
As for the tactical battle,....when playing against humans,....usually the attacker is,...well the attacker,...and advances,..while the defender is the one who usually sits back and tries to defend.
Honestly,...if you attack a territory, why would you sit back if you knew your opponent was going to do the same?

Re: How very dissapointed
Yes, but ... "A good pilot in a bad plane is better than a bad pilot in a great plane."
Trying to rebalance the forces at play is commendable, but what the impact? if one has not the hands to ply it?
Rebalancing will change the equation for human v. human, but would it prompt an idle AI to charge a vacant field? Peashooter or proton cannon, it matters little if the force in question will not act wisely on its own behalf. Or, simply not act at all. Or ... if the AI never opts to build the unit in the first place.

Re: How very dissapointed
My comment was referencing him and his friends playing. Yeah the AI will have to be fixed by the developer. But as far as multiplayer goes the problems can be fixed by us.

Re: How very dissapointed
Ah - I see.
Well, does anyone know if the developer intends to overhaul the AI? The game seems to hold great potential - it just has to be cracked in order to bloom. I'd worry, though; wouldn't the beta testers at MM have revealed the platform's infirmities?

Re: How very dissapointed
I'm not sure if its the case here,..but a lot of developers have been using some very poor methods to get beta testers lately,....lotteries,..first come first serve,...etc..
What you need are people who will actually test and give feedback and not just play a few times to see if they like it or not.
