The problem with saving build-queues outside of EMP files is that ship design names are arbitrary, dependent on the paticular game you are playing. Even if you save the designs, too, there's no way to match up the design names once the two lists (ship designs and build queues) are seperated out from the EMP file, so both are only saved in the EMP file.

I don't have a real problem with the ship queue - it was the build facility build queue I had in mind.

As to the ship build queue, destroyers are destroyers, etc ne ce pas?

But you don't build a 'destroyer' you build a 'warhawk' class destroyer. And that's what the game cannot remember without the actual designs for reference.
