I've used this Web site before, "61 Mech Battalion Group Veterans Association," if you have not visited the site, please do as they are socked with information on the period you're concerned. At the bottom of the page there is a link to Operation Protea. You can safely say 61 Mech did not use tanks during Operation Protea. 2 SSB, Special Services Battalion units drove armored cars.
