Guessing previous save is your only option.
Auto saves to 999 if you don't back up regularly.
You could try this to maintain positions but not sure it would work & would expect any waypoints set to be lost.

Save the map
Run remove damage from map
Save & load it back in to the scenario.

Okay Andy has a work round, wanted to post about save before you messed about & it got overwritten
