Re:
Ashton floats at the other end of infinity.
That's not what I meant.
NullAshton continues floating.
Anyone else notice infinity looks like an umbrella?

Re: Spam!
Whatever happened to letting the phone ring six times? Three times is an entirely inadequate number if you are asleep or busy with something you can't put down immediatly, and yet it seems everybody just lets it ring three times, which, in some cases, tends to be just enough for me to get to the phone, but not long enough to answer it in time. Answering machines are what happened. Almost nobody want to talk to a silly tape recorder, and most of them pick up after 3-4 rings. That, and (in many parts of the US, at least) a telemarketer isn't permitted to leave a message on an answering machine (seems like the majority of phone traffic, these days). So, after 3 rings, they hang up to avoid encountering one.

Re: Spam!
It seems that about 75% of the calls I get are from telemarketers. Good thing I got call display now. I got tired of talking to all these telemarketers everyday so now I usually don't answer the phone if the call is not from someone I know.

Re: Hitchikers Guide.
Kamog, this one I got from Seinfeld (just picked it up in passing):
"Ah. So you're selling insurance policies, then? Well, how about you giving me your home number so I can call you back? Oh? So you don't like being called at home by complete strangers? Well, NEITHER DO I!!!" hangs up the phone

Re: Hitchikers Guide.
I've noticed that you can get to about 5-6 rings before the answering machine picks up.
