Re: Victory Conditions
Hmmm, it's been almost 24 hours since the current turn hosted and this thread has been very quiet...
too quiet...
Things are shaking up in the west too. I'm rather surprised no one has posted about it till now.

Re: Victory Conditions
For those worried about my spike in provinces I'm not planning on keeping them all. Indeed after this next turn or two you'll see my province track actually start to go down (either though countner attacks, me giving the provinces back to their rightful owner, or me selling them.)

Gandalf, about the tower map wraparound, couldn't you just manually edit the connections between the top and bottom provinces so they're connected? I haven't done any mapping but I had the impression that province connections were editable, and there would only be a few provinces that needed to be tweaked.

Yes, that would be very easy to do. Good catch on your part.
And when I run batches of tower maps I see ones which have a small ocean covering the bottom and the top which would make it even easier. Maybe 5 or 6 connections to make.
Unfortunately the game pukes if you do anything in those provinces where it has to try and paint an arrow all the way across the map. OUCH. In fact it seems to hate drawing arrows that go off of the screen to far at all.
Other map efforts have had the problem also. Such as creating "dungeons" on the side of the map which can be entered thru "caves" elsewhere. Or map-created portals which go long distances. I havent figured out the maximum length of an arrow but Im guessing that its different for everyones machine. It might also be dependent on the pixels of the map. Really large higher resolution maps might make it work harder.

Re: Early Age Commentary
The arena was not as exciting as I would have liked. But was anyone else freaked out by that crazy demon Lanka brought out that basically annihilated or banished its opponents?

Okay, well no rush Folket, I am happy to sub until you're feeling good. Let me know when you're better and I'll tell you what I've been up to.
Everyone else - I will pass on any diplomatic developments carefully to Folket and I'm sure he will persist with any agreements, so please go ahead and reply if I've sent you a message.

Re: Early Age Commentary
I watched that. I always thought Mandahas rocked, and it's performance there was most impressive.

Re: Early Age Commentary
Yes, but why did LA Arco's prophet keep coming back over and over until the Mandaha ran out of slaves and just had to kill him the old fashioned way? I thought it was really hard to escape the infernal prison...
