Re: problems with massive retrofits
And beyond the fact that you can't do that for the reason SJ stated, it doesn't solve the problem at all. The problem is you have 400 ships in sector and you want to know which 150 you just gave the retrofit order to so you can give the order to the other 250. You can't tell which 150 have orders from the fleet subscreen any more than you can tell which 150 have orders from the retrofit subscreen. So even if it worked, which it doesn't, it wouldn't help.

Re: problems with massive retrofits
If you retrofit a retrofitted ship, nothing will happen if they're both the same retrofit...

Re: problems with massive retrofits
Not really.
If you give a retrofit order, all orders are cleared.
You CAN'T give two retrofit orders to the same ship, in other words.
You can sneak in some move orders after the retrofit order though.

Re: problems with massive retrofits
I could see where that would be an issue with simul games but it works just fine in TB games. I can tell just fine which have been retro'd and which have not as well as what "level" if I'm doing a series of retrofits.
IMO it does help organize a lot and I thought that's what this thread was about. Hey, I retro a ship and then fleet it into one of the temps (or back into it's own fleet). But alas! I did not consider simul games.

lol. The only reason I posted it was that I didn't know what it meant so I looked it up.

Re: problems with massive retrofits
Well yeah i guess the best bet is not to retrofit them all in one action, but retrofit 10 ships, then another 10 and so on. Takes some time as well, considerung you have about 300 ships from 4 different classes to retrofit. Anyways it cant be my machine. I have 2,4+ cpu and 1gb of ram
BTW. Kwok You can call yourself lucky, im not talking about STMFinal, but rather about the Devnull-Game i mentioned a few weeks ago (offense/defense racial traits).
