Re: Online D&D Gaming
Before we start discussing a different time (If that is even possible) I must point out that I may soon be starting some part time work, the times for which I don't even know yet.

I hope the game doesn't end.

Me too, but since it is hard for me to fit in the new time (Even without my medication I couldn't wake up in time, granted trying to sleep that way meant I woke up 4 times that night) and I may soon need to organise work it may be hard. Believe me I am eager to keep going.

Re: Online D&D Gaming
Fyron, since our time is dependant on your schedule will your schedule change anytime soon? I supposed I could try to make it possible to use a server on my computer. As I have indicated before I seem to be able to create a server but then I can't use it.

Re: Online D&D Gaming
Poke - Is this game going to start up again? Lae'nial is in the middle of a crisis of concience, you know.
(On that - Can Lae'nial take a level of cleric to get 'Detect Evil' without choosing a deity? My personal objection, not his)

Re: Online D&D Gaming
In the evenings on Monday to Thursday should be doable.
Clerics should always have some sort of patron deity. Becoming a cleric/priest/monk/whatever is no light matter idly wandered into, I should think.

Re: Online D&D Gaming
Yeah - But it's not something I feel comfortable with. As I said, my objection, not his. It's just that a simplistic person searches for simplistic solutions, and to Lae'nial, the spell 'Detect Evil' sounds great. Solve all his problems...Except the ones inside him. It's just what he'd try.

Re: Online D&D Gaming
Generally, a diety only grants spell powers to highly devoted followers. People looking for a quick fix would probably be turned away or simply ignored. That's how I see it, anyways.

Re: Online D&D Gaming
I'd like to start again. Just need to work out times. So mon-thur evenings is ok. Well let's see that's morning for me which as long as it's not too early is fine. I'm still having trouble with Narf's game in getting up early. Even when I do wake up, and please don't take this as an indication of how flippantly I take things, I sometimes think "Sod it, I'm really too tired to get up"

Get a wand of Detect Evil and put some skill points in Use Magic Device. Exclusive skills don't exist any more in 3.5, only class and cross-class . If you don't like the idea of periodically having to buy another wand, there are some "Eternal Wands", I think from the Eberron Campaign Setting book, that have 2 charges per day rather than a set limit for the life of the wand.
I have hardly any regularly scheduled commitments outside of work, so 6-midnight any weekday works for me. If I've got the time zone right, that would be 8am-2pm for Randallw, and 3-9pm for Fyron. Anytime Saturday works, too. Sundays, I've got a local D&D game going.
