Re: mind control
i believe the "mindless" tag, and the "lifeless" tag mean they can't get mind controlled. not sure on lifeless though

Magic beings & undeads can be controlled via corresponding spells even if they have "mindless" tag.

Re: mind control
I was under the impression the OP was referring to "enslave mind".
The original question needs to provide more details.

Re: mind control
Regardless of OP's actual question, I'll restate it for my own curiosity (since I seldom get the chance to pull these off.)
The following effects "enslave" creatures (this is off the top of my head, so I apologise if some of the names are slightly off):
1) Enslave Mind / Master Enslave (single unit vs. battlefield) - this affects at least "normal" units; removes commander status. Does it also affect undead, demons, lifeless, and/or mindless units?
2) Control / Arcane Domination - only affects "magic beings" (with the "blue fairy" icon, or whatever it is) - does it also strip commander status?
3) Control Undead / Undead Mastery - only affects undead units. Does it strip commander status? Does it affect demons?
4) Charm (not aware of any "mass" version) - at least affects "normal" units, does *not* strip commander status - does it also affect demons, undead, mindless, and/or lifeless units?
5) Seduction (the various kinds differ in what happens to the commander afterwards, not in the target, I believe) - affects at least "normal", male units; does *not* strip commander status. Female units, prophets, and pretenders are immune. Are any other classes also excluded? (Demons, magic beings, undead, lifeless, mindless?) Also - if you add "seduction" to a male unit, can they seduce female units?
6) Corruption - only available from a demon lord + Hinnom's Grigori - affects at least "normal" units, male or female; does *not* strip commander status. Are any unit types immune? (Prophets, pretenders, demons, magic beings, undead, lifeless, mindless?)
Thanks for any forthcoming answers.

Re: mind control
1) affects everyone but mindless
2) yes, commanders become units
3) affects only undead, commanders become units
4) affects everyone but mindless. Another spell with the same effect is Hellbind Heart
5) Some units definitely can't be seduced. From what I know, "monsters" cannot be seduced. Cyclops is an example - you can't seduce a cyclops that sometimes pops up in indy province with Hammer of the Cyclops. Also, seduction depends on seducer sex - LA Pythium satyrs seduce females and females only.
6) don't know.

Re: mind control
Pretenders can't be charmed or enslaved in any way.
I don't think there is a special no-seduction flag on a non-pretender Cyclops, he just has Morale 30 and MR 18, so he's pretty much immune (unless there's actually a check during seduction for total failure if Morale >= 30, then he really is totally immune).

Re: mind control
The message when you try to charm a Cyclops is "XXX wasn't even remotely interested in the beauty of a Oreiad". When such a message appears I don't know. I think we may only guess or test and I'm tired of both in this game.

Re: mind control
There's also an Ermor spell available in MA at least called "Apostacy", which has the same effect as Charm, but will only target enemy sacred units, and can be resisted with MR+4.
