Life after Death
Ok quick question here.. If you use Life after Death and purposely kill all your commanders will you still have to pay upkeep on them when they are undead?

Re: Life after Death
No u wont have upkeep anymore. It s a well known strat and it's sometimes forbidden in some games.

Re: Life after Death
iirc CBM mods the spell so that holy levels are removed. (Upkeepfree mages that can make loads of undead are a bit OP apparantly).

The deal being that undead priests can always reanimate undead.

Re: Life after Death
WTF CBM removes the holy levels? Bah... That was the whole point of Life after Death to be able to summon undead with undead priests..
Hell that would be the only thing that would make LA Ctis even worth playing in my opinion..

Re: Life after Death
But C'tis already have access to undead priests that can reanimate, they don't need to use life after death to get them.

Re: Life after Death
Yeah but their undead priests cost a ****load of death gems. Compare that to someone like LA Ermor that just get free undead..
Bottom line... I prefer the good old days when most games were not cbm... I'm so freaking lost with all the cbm changes I spend 20 turns working to do crap that I later learn I cant do... And where the **** are the dwarven hammers in cbm?!?
Sorry, I'm just ranting now hahaha..

Re: Life after Death
And I want my gem generators back...
And repeal suffrage! And back to steampower!
Sorry psi. We have moved on. It was a bit abusive. So it was removed. CBM removed ALL magic levels at first. But that was a bit to underpowered. So only holy is now removed.
You still get your mages upkeep free.

Re: Life after Death
Is there no Changelog with a complete list of changes for CBM ? I can't seem to find one and this is getting annoying playing Multiplayer and not knowing what the hell does what..

Re: Life after Death
This utility is your best bet.
With the settings I linked you'll only see the things that have been modded and how.
It requires some minor knowledge of modding but is fairly intuitive.
