Default Temporal Yard Problem...

Hello, this is my first post!
I am playing Devnull on SEIVG with all the patches (1.84 I think)
I'd heard about the big Temporal Shipyards and wanted to try them out. I have found that if I have a TSY available as an upgrade, I cannot upgrade my SY2 to a SY3. Not really a problem there. The real problem is that my TSY1 are supposed to repair 10 damaged components, but I never fix more than 5.
Is this a misprint in the facility description or an error somewhere?

You misunderstood about the upgrade process - you cannot upgrade a standard space yard to a temporal yard. Temporal yards have no effect on the ability to upgrade from Space Yard II to Space Yard III.

Check the components.txt file from the mod to see if the repairs 10 components/turn description matches up with the actual value below it.

Actually, you can upgrade standard shipyards to temporal shipyards. I just did it for about 40 planets. The facility screen shows a V for T. shipyard II, which is in line with the first three standard shipyards. I downloaded this Version of devnullmod a week or two (at most) ago. Perhaps the author changed it?

Odds are not, Devnullicus hasnt been arround in years, and I dont think the current maintainers (Rollo and maybe Geo) are making those kinds of sweeping changed.

Anyway, Kwok is just confused. They dont upgrade in the stock game, but they do with Devnullmod:

-BUGFIX: Made Temporal Shipyards the Same Facility Family as Regular Shipyards and gave them higher roman numerals
so now space yards upgrade correctly when you research temporal shipyards.


Checking on your complaint, there is in fact a type in the file. While TSY 1-3 are supposed to repair 10, 12, and 15 components respectively, they each only repair 5. I dont know if Rollo is collecting a bug list for the mod, but someone should probably send this one to him. I am supprised no temporal players have complained by now! its not THAT sucky of a racial trait, that no one uses it! I kinda like those TDBs.

yup, upgrading normal space yards to temporal ones is no problem in DevnullMod.

and yes, there is a typo in the data files. The actual repair value doesn't match the description for the Temp SY.

Thanks for the catch. I'll fix that in the next Version.

yes, I do collect a bug list. And I will release a new Version when it reaches a critical mass along with some new tweaks and (hopefully) AI updates.
