What tools to create music??
First off I got the full game in the mail yesterday! yay! Real fun stuff and I was finally able to get into that ice cavern!
Anyways, I love the music in this game and I was wondering what tools were used to create it.
Thx for any infos and kudos Malfador!

Hmmm... 2 Posts by me and both of them totally ignored! Weeehooo!! I'm sure this one will suffer the same fate.
I'm just not feeling the love here in the DO community forum

Re: What tools to create music??
i believe (but don't know for sure) that the music in game is just mp3 files that are linked to the maps via the text tables. go take a look through some of the module info and you might see where the connection is madce- im not sure how the loop is established though.
good luck.

Re: What tools to create music??
I can't help you with the music question, but every retro-pixel in the game was lovingly plotted by me, and I guess that makes the graphics heartwarming! lol
I just didn't want your thread to be totally ignored! (can you feel the DO love now?)
Cheers!

Re: What tools to create music??
Ahhhh all is not lost!
Thx guys, sometimes Shug just needs a little love and attention otherwise I start to get a little irritable
dummy: I was talking about the tools used to make the actual music itself. Cakewalk Studio? Does Aaron have slew of midi instruments and a studio and use Pro-Tools? Stuff like that... thx for your reply
David: the graphics in the game are great! I love the retro-style and the graphics are what drew my attention to DO to begin with. I plan on creating custom graphics for DO so I have been studying your .bmp's over the Last couple of days. It's really amazing how you were able to give the characters so much... well character with the limitations in the graphics you are working with. Very creative indeed! I just happened to pic humanmage35.bmp as my portrait but since you added your custom icon of yourself to the forum I noticed you and this image have an uncanny resemblence. Was this intended? (I'm serious, no sarcasim intended)
Anyway, I'm rattling now but I will probably be posting some grfx questions in the near future so please dont ignore me!

You caught that eh? LoL, also, take a look at the 'Condition' icon at the top of the screen in the player stats area. "I'm watching you!" LoL
In fact there are several self-portrait type images in the game. I do have an ego, but it's an internal one!
I wonder if Aaron caught them too? lol Cheers.

You're quite the sneaky one David G! I'll be on the lookout for more of your surprises in the game
