killing someone
Is there a sure fire method to kill another gladiator in the game or is it more pure luck? Does death happen more often if you use an attack fighting posture vs. either a defensive or normal fighting posture?
I've won fights with the opponent dropping down to -12 wp and they just faint at the most, yet the computer controlled gladiators seem to score 2-4 kills (amongst all of them) per demo game.

No, there's no magical "formula" for deaths; it's a combination of the opponent's Durability and the sequence of wounds in a fight (several bad rounds in a row can sometimes trigger a death) and a dash of just luck.

Re: killing someone
Hi Derek
I have a question in relation to death in the game. Are there different ways in which a Gladiator dies? In the demo Version I killed a Gladiator due to internal bleeding. Are there decapitations for example in the full Version?(I know..That's sick..LOL) Can you list some deaths in the game?

Re: killing someone
Yes, due to numerous player requests (and that's a little disturbing in itself ), more graphic death possibilities will be added to the game.
After writing these, i'll never watch a Friday the 13th type film again.

Re: killing someone
Can you also create a graveyard where we can go an look at a list of the fallen, along with their stats and an idicator of if they fought for you or not?
There is a time for every purpose under heaven... a time to mourn.

Re: killing someone
You read my mind, Trebor1503! I just got finished adding and testing a "Memorial" screen to the full game, that features a recorded history of your slain and retired warriors; their name, record and how they left (retired or how they were killed; the Last 50 will be recorded).
Will help add a sense of depth and history (and closure, as you said) to the game, I think.

Re: killing someone
Yeah, I agree. A very good idea.
Speaking of death, I have killed one gladiator in one my demo sessions, and I had one of my gladiators die. Can't wait for a more extended list of gruesome deaths!! hehe

Re: killing someone
I would like to see a list of the gladiators MY PLAYERS killed too (with info stats). That would be quite satsifying as well - and I'm not violent either, just a stat buff!
