Re: Should I buy SE5?
I presume he means that there aren't enough opponents as of yet for many games to be played.

Re: Should I buy SE5?
I mean... should I buy SE5? Yes, but not yet.
Today I found this german review:
http://gameswelt.de/artikel/index.php?id=2237&page=1
The lower portion mentions an upcoming german version...
It will be localized? Sounds great...
Do you see this thumb up?
http://gameswelt.de/artikel/index.ph...237&page=fazit
They classify SE5 "hardcore strategy" and ... not (yet) advisable for newcomers with a "short thread of patience". (Sounds like they are talking about me).

Re: Should I buy SE5?
They'd probably say the same about SEIV, PTF. Keep that in mind. Most of the reviews that bash that aspect don't like the micromanagement aspect, rather than any inherent flaw in the game.

Re: Should I buy SE5?
SEV is getting better and better with each patch, but there's still some bugs and unfriendly features of the user interface, so it's not quite as fun as playing SEIV was. (in comparison to the latest, patched version of SEIV.) I find that I can only play SEV for a few days in a row, until it becomes increasingly annoying because of many little things, and I have to stop and put it aside for a week or two. Then I forget about the frustrations and I go back to it.

There are quite a few over on spaceempires5.com... even a IRM mod beta that is available for play, with improved AI.

Ahhh... spaceempire5.com? I see that is the site I don't go to. Maybe I should check it [again] after all.
