Default Fatigue, Encumbrance and battle

I ran across something trying to get out of a game that I had 1 province and my POD flying around. It made me wonder about something..

IF you attack a province (commanders, mages, I don't care) they will build Fatigue and encumbrance thru casting and fighting...

Sometimes you see a message that says that there was a battle in XYZ Province.

Then you see a second message that says there was a battle in XYZ province (same province).

My Question is:

When you fight that second battle in the same turn in the same province...Does the Fatigue and encumbrance values carry over to the second battle OR does it start back at 0 agian with everyone fresh? For that matter do remaining hit points start agian also"

It strikes me that it SHOULD be that it carries over so that waves of attacks would be a sound and reasonable tactic.

But I think it resets back to 0 and all hit points ect reset also.

Anyone know how this works?

Thanks

IIRC fatigue resets to 0.

HP damage remains until the healing phase of the turn.

fatigue can be recovered during battle. Any unit who exceeds 100 fatigue stops acting and auto-reinvigorates 5 fatigue a round. For this reason, it makes sense that by the time the next battle starts, the unit has fully recovered.

What happens to arrows? If archers fire all their arrows in the first fight, do they have arrows left in the second?

I think it shouldn't carry over since battle order is determined on natoin number.. that way the low nation numbers would always have more battles (they already have I mean) but the 2nd one would be harder too on top of that.

That used to be true, but as I recently saw in Preponderance, sometimes the order is reversed. In a month where Sauromatia and Abysia attacked the same province, Abysia moved first and fought twice (first against the defenders, then against the Sauromatian attackers).

@ Endo - I seem to remember there was a thread some time ago, said that arrows don't replenish.

When I first started, I learned that Ammunition did not replenish between battles, and I saw numerous instances of this being the case (including a couple of crushing defeats where an archer reliant army slaughtered one foe, then rushed to melee in the next battle, losing heroically).

Recently, however, I've seen some evidence that at least some magical "weapons", such as Mind Blast, DO replenish between battles, and since then I've been paying particular attention to Javelin wielding troops, and they seem to throw Javs in both of their battles for the turn (also I've seen 100% evidence that PD gets full ammo for each battle, but all of their troops are generated at start of combat, so that part makes sense, they magically replenish their ranks, they can have free arrows, too).

It's making me wonder if fixing something else, may have inadvertently changed the way that Ammmo is looked at.

I will see if I can remember to run a test later, with 3 armies of nothing but archers attacking the same province - and see what happens there.
