good question, all I remember about your avatar is that it is clipped from a fantasy pic. A guy and a girl standing under a blue light looking upwards. It might be a Louis Royo, or some other such artist.
A good deal of the avatars came from alt.binaries.pictures.fantasy-sci-fi or other such 'Fantasy Art' sites on the net.
Sorry that I don't have any more specific info on your avatar, perhaps someone else recognizes the pic?
Cheers!

Thanks for the information, I will have a look at some galleries. It doesn't quite look like Royo, but who knows?

hahahah! Yeah, he's much uglier than me...
Slick: By the way, Geo, how do you keep your eye from drying out?
Geo: *takes out squirt-bottle and mists himself down* Yeah, I have been meaning to ask David to draw me an eyelid.
Slick.

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
it's not a subtitle, it's called 'Teaser text' (aka a catch phrase)
see, catchy eh?

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
The graphics are great.
The title-logo is a very nice arrangement.
The subtitle, however, seems less than professional. In fact it reminds me of a very clever Romanian.

And while that banner, with its... interesting subtitle, is great for a web hobbyist, the text does not inspire me to take it too seriously.
I do hope I'm not speaking out of place when I say that, it just strikes me so.
Oh yeah, and there's something about the word EMPIRE in serif font that is strongly familiar...
Not that I don't like that. As I said, the title is very nice.

Sweet pictures David!
Question: Were the Planets in the Pics below made using the LunarCell plugin from Flaming Pear? They look snazzaliscious!
