I know! I'll drive a car beside the train track, holding a leash in one hand and going at the same speed as the train.

All you need is a really slow train.

True, but then where's the challenge in that?

Finding a slow train that is:
A) servicable,
B) available,
C) has fuel, and
D) still on a set of tracks

Well, that's easy enough. Just go to the east coast, USA, where trains are still used. Get them when there starting to move after being loaded up. They'll go well below walking pace for quite a while before they can actually get going.
I'm actually posting in the nonsense thread...

Ah, but that would be a train that is traveling slowly, not a slow train. A slow train can't go fast, not just isn't going fast.

Well, OK, I'll walk the train by walking in my 200-foot mecha.

You can pre-order SE V at Chips & Bits. It says that the release date is October 2003. Go to www.chipsbits.com , click "Search" and enter "Space Empires".
It is really going to be ready for October?

Well, if you have trouble finding a 200 foot mecha, you could try a toy train.
