Re: Patch
On one hand, I have already patched and would rather not deal with installing a 3.0 version. I think random rampaging horrors are a feature, not a bug.
On the other hand, I don't have any heroes, and I expect to be defeated very soon now.

Johan K tends to disagree.

Hey now, don't toss in the towel yet! Especially since the Hunter of Heroes is likely to pick up my GK any month now, you might be able to do something before I manage to stamp you out entirely.

Re: Patch
Oh, I know it's unintentional and been classified as a bug. I just like it anyway. I'm upset I haven't seen it in my SP games yet.
(I'm not actually near defeat. I am experimenting with a "besiegement" strategy. So far it is going well--I have two forts under siege. I expect my schemes to bear fruit any time now.)

Re: Patch
I am of the view that it might add some spicy fun to patch and have a few horrors crash the party for a bit... until the next fix.
Any player strongly against patching?

Yes, simply because it's one of the patches that introduced more, bigger, problems than it fixed.

Re: Patch
To prevent people crying and stop playing because their pretender dies in a horror attack in turn 2 i would prefer a start without the patch.
But here we've the problem that i'm not sure that all players could install a second 3.0 Version of the game.
An illwinter coment about a hotfix would be very good!
EDIT: wrong thread but possible same problem

Re: Patch
I have received all turns for turn 16, but I am going to delay hosting until Tuesday to give more time to discuss whether to patch or not patch. Players seem to be nearly equally split.
Some players would get fixes with the patch. Others are concerned that it creates more problems.

Re: Patch
Ugh! Now, I am coming around to thinking it would be best to NOT use the patch. I know that is very inconvenient for some players. However, it sounds like the horror-bug could seriously frustrate players and spoil the fun.
I know that some players would benefit from the patch's fixes, but I think it is more appropriate to stay with the current "broken" game rather than introduce new problems.
