Re: The Winnowing (Noob Game) - open
Darn. I was hoping we'd get more than 2 turns in this weekend. But with the replacement for Jotu not being able to connect, it's going to be the full 24 hrs for each turn. Or so it seems.
3 minute and counting...

Re: The Winnowing (Noob Game) - open
I wonder if this is an indicator that the wrong mod was used in creating their gods (5.0 instead of 5.2), maybe??

False cheat messages can occur
Alchemy could cause the cheater messageto be sent, at least a few patches back. Blood sacrifice could also cause false alarms. Cheating isn't exactly easy, either, so I doubt either of them actually did anything.
I don't know much more about the matter, but you can ask about it in the general forum. If you do, someone will without doubt mention the Norfleet incident, in which a well-known member of the community was proven to cheat. After that incident, I doubt anyone wanting to stay on these forums would risk being caught cheating. Losing this community is much worse than losing a game or two.

Re: False cheat messages can occur
to reiterate: blood sacrifice and alchemy can both cause false positive cheat messages. Random events also perhaps... basically, the cheat messages are usually wrong...
if people are really concerned, have some neutral third party w/ the master password check over the two nations in question for anything untoward.
