I think you miss the point. Xantus didn't give you poison, he was poisonous. The poisons were a part of him. Eating part of him exposed you to them.

What is so hard to understand about honorable berzerker? Our people value honor, and they are very dangerous in combat. "Berzerker" does not entail "genocidal" or anything of that nature, if that is what you were thinking.

Yes, knowingly eating another sentient being is quite a sticky situation. Actually, it would be more of an atrocity than a sticky situation.

We also found this

Perhaps you may explain how this is a trait that an honourable race would have ?
