Re: MBT's
I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that's what they did, you're right they added the same steel armor plate all around the turret.
The near tank you can clearly see the weld marks around the edges on the turret. Also, you can see they didn't quite align the "plates" evenly on the left side of the turret.
On the far tank the weld marks (Or scars if you will.) look cleaner and you can see a " white mark" at the bottom of the joint between the plates also on the left side. This could simply mean it wasn't properly painted over.
Since the page flipped see the previous about the " White Triangle".
Regards,
Pat

REMOVED by DRG
military watch magazine has all the credibility of Signal
Stick to pointing out missing units or weapons.
IGNORE THAT WARNING AND THE REACTION WILL BE SWIFT

Re: MBT's
Delays for the remaining 98 K2 tanks to Poland and looking like at this time Poland will not be building them possibly.
"It was also noted that the vehicles would be produced in Korea, although the Minister of Defence wanted some of them to be produced in Poland. The article in “Rz” also mentioned that “ plans for the manufacturing of these tanks in Poland are in question” and that funding for the second executive contract has not yet been secured."

Just another indication of a supplier saying " What's ours, stays ours. "

Re: MBT's
On short notice:
https://en.defence-ua.com/weapon_and...deo-11876.html
Even before the war started there were " rumors" that production of the following was quietly going to be moved outside of Ukraine. Those rumors have in the past year started to gain more traction.
Also, before the war I had posted that the USA had bought 3 units of this tank for test and evaluation purposes.
There were doubters and it took a little time to convince the "Boss" but he (And others. ) know I'm a " deep miner" in my searches of reliable and verifiable references.
We built it, I noticed in game play against its peers it wasn't performing as it should've, so I asked for volunteers to test it against the T-72BM (B3/4 initially.) and I think we might've done the same against the T-90. A very strong handful of players stepped up ( THANK YOU ALL AGAIN!!) The data was analyzed and presented to Don, and we made better from the testing and data as in the game now. That process is in this thread, and some might find it interesting to look at.
The problem was where was the tank since the war began? The best I was able to find out was it possibly was being used for the defense of the capital.
Well, I know where it is now, also it looks like at the turret has been modified especially in how the gun is mounted to it, but I don't like the angle of the picture as shown in the article to make the " hard call" on that at this time.

Re: MBT's
That last top down ( sort of.....) photo in the article is very helpful
As is this comment
Quote:
Ukrainian tankers mentioned two main advantages of the Leopard 1 tank. Specifically, they highlighted its fire control system with a night sight, which allows effective operation at a distance of up to 4 kilometers during nighttime. This range is greater than what Russian tanks can detect, especially considering that many Russian tanks are equipped with either the 1PN96 or even older Soviet-era sights instead of the more advanced Sosna-U.

I think the icon we are using for UKR 713 is close it just needs a bit more embellishment
Further refinement....... there will likely be another before it goes into the game
I have also increased all 1a5's to FC 40 from 35
