Parabolize, thanks for a fascinating game.

And thanks to Primitive too, for a great map!

Asmala, set me up for another game. I'm ready!

One would think the map is always great for winner.

It's good you're ready but there's no opponent for you.

Slynky -vs- Geoschmo 2401.2

Slynky surrenders. Not to besmirch Geo's playing ability 'cause you've seen me talk about me being scared of him several times , but starting in the corner and him in the middle, him having fighters (and therefore me needing PD escorts for my colony ships in order to expand out of the corner), him being in 1st place now for the Last half of the game, and him able to expand west, north, and northwest without any need for worry is just a game better left in surrender for me.

Glad to see you in the slot for the King, Geo! Go gettum!

Well, I am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, so I will accept your surender. However, I do think you tossed it in way too early. The advantage of being in the center of the map was more than accounted for by the complete lack of colonizable planets in and around my home systems. My choice of Gas Giant for this game was somewhat the cause of this, as I only had two available planets in my home systems, but the six systems around me were all dead ones. At the time you surendered you outnumbered me in planets 24 to 17. In fact I believe the sparseness of my systems was the cause of me being in first place so early on, as I had 15 colony ships searching around for some place to land.

It probably spooked you to see the carriers on the front line, but you might be interested in hearing they were empty of fighters as I had not had enough time to fill them. They did have some weapons, which would have been good for defending the warp points, but I wouldn't have been able to root out your colonies for a while without minesweepers.

Given this was our fourth game and my first win against you though, I'll take it whatever the circumstances.

Geoschmo

I must have had around 15 (give or take) colony ships running around...OH...they had nowhere to go...'cept for a few smalls and tinys.

No matter the carriers didn't have fighters...they could have loaded them in a few turns. And no need for you to go on the offensive anyway...put the fighters on the warpholes (you were in every system I needed to go through to get out to the "frontier") and dare me to send any colony ships through without adequate escort. Meanwhile, you continue taking the other two thirds of the map.

Even I can see a 30-turn game with the same rusults.

NOW...I expect you to surprise them on the hill! Good luck .

Nodachi vs Parabolize - Not started

This could prove to be interesting!

Settings:
Devnull Mod 1.7
medium spiral arm (no black holes)
no events
medium tech cost
no intel
100000 resources
1 good home world
low tech start
5000 racial points

I always say that I'm the one to play if you want to try unusual settings. I guess Parabolize is taking me up on it!

well I think Im gona surender soon.
I dont know how he did it but althogh I have colonised over two thirds of the galaxy he still managed to have a massive amount of ships.
I guess that he had a lot more mineral plannets on his side than I did, the better mineral extraction his race has probibly helped to...

Hmm, it just occured to me how quick game Slynky vs Geoschmo actually was. It started and finished during the same day. It's unique even though it Last only about a dozen turns.
