Maybe because your link on Dom3minions.com is broken, and there aren't any of your maps in this forum? If you have any good Dom3 version maps, I'd try them out.
|
Well I meant in the Dom2 days. My favorite maps and mods never seemed to get listed in the official lists.
Sorry about that link. I didnt actually do those pages. I should start working on that stuff. And setting up the daily updates so that the maps dir like I had for Dom2
Dom2 Random Maps
will be active again with Dom3 versions.
For now, I do have the Battle Sim
Battle Simulator map
And a Dom3 version of my popular Dom2 map altho I dont have it re-randomizing a daily version yet.
Poke in the Eye map
So far only one other chaotic craziness map and it has 1500 provinces. It crashes some peoples machines and takes so long to create a game that some people think its crashed. Thats why I shifted my attentions to the programs which modify the maps with pre-written provinces.
MegaMap zip
I have one mod, just as crazy. It puts all of the nations into early era so you can play them in one game. It goes great with that 1500 province map.
Single Age mod
I have one minor utility thing. A SaveGames .lnk file for Windows.
SaveGames link for Windows
Other than the daily randomizing maps and such, I also might do something to update one of my favorite mods from Dom2 days. Its kindof the opposite of the balance mod. Unless someone else does it first.
It can be found here...
Randomize Units mod
Id also like to see some Dom3 versions of some strange chaoticized Dom2 maps...
Orania the Nasty Edition map
Miirunst Extreme map
I might even get around to changing the old DomMap generator abit
Dominions 2 Map Generator project
and various other old Dom2 projects if I cant get someone else to do them better.

Hi thanks for making the play with all ages mod and the 1500 province map! Is this mod compatible with the new patch 1.08?

Sombre, thanks! I cared, and appreciated.
And on that note, there *are* some maps listed in Sombre's modlist.

ah, thats cause people arn't as sick of playing the same nations are they are as sick of playing the same map, over and over and over again

I feel guilty. I started playing Dom3 out of the bag with the Early Era vanilla nations and have just recently started playing Middle Era games. Once I have become familiar with all of the vanilla nations I know that I will be all over the mod nations like stink on stuff.

Gandalf, I am so sorry. I thought of your many maps and projects, but when I compiled this map list my intention was to link to non dom3 generated maps with different graphical content. I am glad that you posted your list and details.

Re: A Map List
No prob. Its not new. I know that my stuff doesnt categorize well.
All of my projects for Dom2 never seemed to get mentioned on sites or lists either. Especially the Illwinter site. My penchant for chaotic randoms tends to stand alone. Thats why the Dom2minions.com site provided space to mention all of the randoms, randomizer, mapgen projects that I or other people did.

Re: A Map List
Thanks for making this thread. There really is a need for it. I hadn't seen several of these and had no idea they were available.

Re: A Map List
Loemendor by Kaljamaha. That one definitely belongs in any map list thread.

Re: A Map List
There's also Dedas' version of Loemendor, which sounded like it added some nice balancing features. (different map file, same image).

Re: A Map List
I don't know about balance, but it certainly adds RPG flavour.
Oh, and both the map file and image are modified, all by permission and supervision of Kaljamaha.
@llamabeast
I've decided to try and get the Loemendor PBEM started again. It would be great if we could use your more than excellent email automatic thingie.
