Re: The case of the vanishing pretender
You can just rename the file to *.zip and it will go fine as an attachment. That forums are really stupid.

Re: The case of the vanishing pretender
Oops thats not right. I have to do some other things right now so I have to log off. If you would be so kind would you do a walk thru for me. I have vista as a OS. I'm sorry to be such a pain, thanks for the help.

Re: The case of the vanishing pretender
If it's a MP, just tell the name and on which turn it happened, then the admin of the game server can put a backup of the turn files to the internal forums for investigation.

Re: The case of the vanishing pretender
Thank you. The server is Llama server. The game is Blitzkrieg, its turn 70, and the race is Pan. The password is Alera. There, that about covers it.
You know if you want a bear tracked, a boar hunted, or a log cabin built. I'm your man. But as far as computing goes I'm simply terrible. Thanks for your patience. Bwaha

Re: The case of the vanishing pretender
... I think maybe a PM would have been better than the pass and everything here?
I'll keep in mind you for the boars though

Re: The case of the vanishing pretender
Yeah, next time I will keep it as simple as possible. Let me tell you what I did, then tell me what I did wrong. First I created a new folder in my saved game folder, then I copied the turn files to there, then I archived the files and went back to the thread. Then I attached the archived files to the forum. All of this seems to be logical to me.
Then I checked the attached files and almost had a heart attack. I didn't intend to send what was sent. I'm planning on opening a dude ranch that offers hunting, fishing, and placer mining tours. I hope that the guys who wrote vista never come there. I would be sorely tested not to dry gulch them. I think I need to learn a new OS so the computer does exactly what I tell it to do. And nothing more. I almost Frisbied my computer in outrage at what it did. Vista
