Agreed. Longer early and mid is good.

I prefer scales set to normal (100) as 125 kind of negates what is trying to be achieved by allowing more income, more castles, more researchers etc.

I think I will go back to my favourite Abysia please.

I have just started Arco in another game and its not going well. I need more experience with them which I shall get in that game.

Cheers.

Hi everyone,

I would like to join this game. My first choice after looking at the already registered players/nations in the first page was Abysia, but if Holey takes it, I will go with Arco then.

I've made up my mind. I'll try Caelum.

Thanks!

Hi, I've completed 2 and in 4, 1-2 of which will probably end soon and the other 2, my strata are very simple so I don't foresee having to spend too long on those turns.

I'm trying to decide if I have the time for a 5th, but this is tempting both due to the settings (including the high resource/income) and I'm seeing a lot of my fav peeps in here.

Please hold a spot for me and I'll try to decide tonight if I'm in and select a race from what's available.

My fav race so far is Agartha but I'm always willing to throw some training wheels on a new race and give it a spin.

Also, to support my vote for the scales/research settings, Id like to point out that adjusting both is more balanced than adjusting 1

If you slow down research then you are giving bless strats a boost, whereas if you increase income/resources then you give scales a boost (since each additional +6% from Order becomes effectively +8% for example, and each -6% from sloth becomes -8% after the + 25% modifier and so on for the rest of the scales).

Doing both changes keeps the bless strat nations balanced with the Eco/research nations.

I'd like to go with Pangaea.

Same nation as in A Learning Experience, but different settings and a different build. Hopefully it'll be interesting to see how it'll go... differently...

Okay. We're up to 11.

I'll hold it open for one more for awhile longer, but if no one signs up by end of day tomorrow. I'll go ahead and close it off and put the game up on Llamaserver for pretenders.

As far as maps go, for 11-12 I think this version of riverland would be best:

Any objections?

I'm inclined to agree with Excist, if we're going to go with slower research, which it sounds like most everyone wants. I think a slight bump in income is in order.

I think 125 is a good compromise. It doesn't end up being to dramatic but it does help the scales builds early.
